According to Section 14 (2) of the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health, work equipment that is exposed to damage-causing influences that can lead to hazards for employees must be inspected periodically by a person qualified to do so. The examination must take place in accordance with the deadlines determined in accordance with Section 3 (6). Proven inspection intervals are specified in the Technical Rules for Operational Safety "Inspections of work equipment and systems requiring monitoring" (TRBS 1201), for continuous conveyors this is 1 year. The condition of the components and equipment as well as the completeness and effectiveness of the control and safety devices must be checked.
